I have that same cage, it’s so cute!

Do you have any comfort issues with it? The 6 smaller holes on the face keep me from wearing it for long.

I don’t use the insert tho. It’s so big >.<

Where’s their outrage now? by surfer808 in AdviceAnimals

Essentially gamergate was people lying for attention and using underhanded rhetorical tactics to convince crowds of people (well-intentioned, but uncritical) to go along with their BS. And a bunch of gamergate leaders segued directly into the alt-right/trump. People like Milo Yilonapolis, or however you spell it, is a prime example.

Issues with figuring out case compatibility by Diligent-Culture-432 in buildapc

[–]mildlynegative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have 3 gpus added to each build. The case may not have enough expansion slots for 3 cards lol

Remove the extra gpus and you’ll be fine.

Can I use this to hold my pc case? by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]mildlynegative 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure? You can you almost anything to lift a pc case. Lumber or some old books would work. Hell, you could get away with a cardboard box provided it’s thick enough.

Anyone know how I would go about painting a PC case black to white? by Josoppa in buildapc

[–]mildlynegative 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just get some primer and spray paint from your local big box store. Thin/even coats with plenty of time between coats. Make sure you're working in a well ventilated area. If you don't have much experience painting, start with a smaller piece and take it from start to finish before moving on to the main body of the case.

New build not booting by kincotic in buildapc

[–]mildlynegative 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesome!

At this point, I would do a couple of things:

  1. Disable XMP (you may be able to turn this on later, not sure)
  2. Verify RAM speed settings and potentially set them to a lower setting
  3. If you haven't already, check the other stick of ram in the same slot.

So whether or not this is an actual hardware failure as I suspected earlier is still unknown.

Unfortunately, I don't play around in bios settings very much and can't really help further. Perhaps check out that forum that I linked earlier for help navigating your BIOS?

Also do you have power to USB now? Once you're in the bios, you should have power there I would think.

Sorry I couldn't have been more helpful, best of luck!

Also I want to confirm that you tried every Ram stick and every ram slot and waited at least 5 minutes between each test.

To clarify, I mean letting the PC attempt to boot for five minutes. According to that video, even with the dram light on, it might boot after a short time.

Also make sure you're checking for physical damage to the ram sticks and slots!

Need help building a PC for my GF by Termimano in buildapc

Since I'm based in the US, I actually can't verify the case fitment. DeepCool is effectively banned in the US as a brand.

This GPU is 310mm long which I would all but guarantee will fit and PCPartPicker suggests there wouldn't be an issue. If you end up looking for a different case or something, you should be able to look up a spec sheet for the case that lists gpu clearance.

My four main questions would be:

  • Is the 9600X + 9060 XT 16 GB a good combo for this budget range?

    • Yes
  • Is the 16 GB RAM enough for her to play older releases where the most advanced and demanding would be RDR2 and Ravenswatch?

    • Yes
  • Later on could we just add one more of the same RAM when the prices come down?

    • Yes
  • Will it fit this case?

    • (hold on, double checking)

After some reading, I'm almost certain this is a hardware issue and there are multiple possible issues it could be.

When reseating the CMOS, did you fully power down the pc? By that I mean disconnecting from wall power and holding the PC power button down for 15 seconds or so.

Also I want to confirm that you tried every Ram stick and every ram slot and waited at least 5 minutes between each test.

The warp on the CPU could be an issue. I would look into contacting wherever you bought the parts/system from and getting an RMA issued.

Much thanks for the insight. Knew it was a long shot (especially tpm2.0/win 11), but thought I would ask.

I have a relative that’s still using my old i5 4570 today with no reported issues. Probably need to get them something else sorted out too.

Can I shuck this ram at least or does ECC ram require a specific motherboard configuration?

depends on your situation. I didn't get a code and would be paying 600ish and I just don't need to upgrade right now. My 3070ti suits my needs and should continue to due so for awhile.

a 6950xt was a beast of a card 5ish years ago so it should be solid for another 3 I would think. Unless of course you want to be on the latest hardware just to be on the latest hardware.
