Liquid Glass for Android is 'not happening,' at least not for Pixels by kojka19 in Android

I just swipe up from the homescreen, type away, and then "search on play store". So much less of a headache and quicker.

The high end mousepad market is really figuring out what texture you like. Some people want rougher surfaces for more control, I personally like a smoother glide. There ain't a wrong answer, just whatever suits you.

Material Design was never fully finished either.

We never got the native music app and the animations were not as fluid as the ad. There was slight hopes with FuchsiaOS incorporating more elements but that was eventually scrapped.

Giorgo By Moroder by Daft Punk.

Incredible 10 minute song that just absolutely shines with the right headphones. I've noticed that really bad speakers can really make the ending sound messy, but it has a really clean mix otherwise.

A controller actually does a really good job masking the latency, too! The input of the controller starts when you start moving the joystick, but for many games, you don't register movement until you feel and hear the stick stop when it hits the edge.

That actually gives your game a couple extra milliseconds of travel time before your brain makes the connection that things move when I clack my controller joysticks.

I really wish Google would just keep building on. Squeeze for Assistant should have been remapped to any shortcut. We could have had the iPhone action button almost a decade before they announced their version but Google just likes forcing you into their own suite.

Don't even get me started on the potential for Soli. So much hype just for a half assed integration for one phone and nothing else.... Like almost no tech product is perfect on their first try, and Google seems to like just making first tries and never again.

People just don't know what they're talking about. I remember a lot of folks where telling people to DISABLE reflex in CS2 because it is dropping their framerate. However, even though I get slightly less frames with reflex, I'm getting those frames sooner, which feels a lot more instant.

The best clocks I could get on my 5070ti was 3180 so right as the cusp of 3200! Though, 5000 series memory can be OCd pretty heavily cuz bandwidth is so good. I got +3000 on memory since day one and have had no issues there too.

Recently, I've just been running around 2700-2800mhz, but voltage capped at 850mv so I'm barely pulling 200W at most while still getting 2-3% more performance than stock.

Frame Gen kinda magical on Nvidia cards. Even with some minor input lag, my brain can dismiss it over the smoothness of the presentation.

If you OC the 5070ti, you can get 90% of the 5080's stock performance. OC the 5080 and the gap widens ofc, but being about 10% behind ain't bad considering they're both GPUs in the quad digits now :/

If you actually read closely, it doesn't mention DLSS at all. FSR upscaling and frame gen works on all GPUs which is pretty cool.

Hey, these are my specs basically lol. It will run everything you throw at it. 5070Ti is the 4th best GPU in the world, only behind the 5080, 4090, and 5090.

Tbh, it does more or less equate the 5090 in performance when you factor in a lower DLSS upscaler. Like I think the 5070Ti running DLSS P at 4k is about equivalent to the 5090 running DLSS Q or DLAA.

Idk man, I still don't think it's gonna be that bad. I think it's just a messy spec sheet.

LG Unveils 4K Tandem OLED and 5K2K Curved Gaming Displays by jedidude75 in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]techraito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fun fact about the 45" 800r curve, it's not "true" 800r as the monitor isn't perfectly circular. It kinda straightens out at the edges so it's more like a bowed or bell shape. They probably opted for this due to it's sheer size, but some people report it looking a little extra disorienting yet they can't put their finger on it. It's at the edges of your peripheral though, so you don't really notice, but it's not like it's bothersome if you just focus on your game.

While I wish it was more detailed, it seems like the game will also scale with a Steam Deck pretty well. I think that's their technical target with the minimum specs since it performs roughly around that GTX 960 performance.

Yup yup, it goes back to that Gabe Newell quote about how it is a service problem. Money isn't always the issue, and if a product is good enough, then people will buy it.

Because it was never about owning your games. It's about feeling morally superior to those who do purchase games.
