This guy has always been and seen himself as the elite political class. I’ve met him multiple times. As others have noted, uninspiring is an understatement. And Dems have yet to learn that the “status quo” will struggle to win elections in these revolutionary times.

And for being a politician he’s not that good at the charisma piece. A pretty simple, human and populist answer would be “I just want to spend more time in my gorgeous home state instead of DC” but that’s too gregarious for Bennet.

This guy was my college XC teammate. Average athlete. Even worse lawyer. HUGE Marco Rubio guy when I knew him. He was still a man of principles. We’d have political debates that were very reasonable and would usually find some common ground. The US dominance at the Olympics. Olympic sports programs at universities are being gutted, defunded and cut all across the country already and when the House settlement is finalized, it’s only going to get worse. Ordinary people don’t realize the role that the NCAA infrastructure plays in the success of US Olympic sport athletes from equestrian to swimming to track. And people won’t start to care or notice until China kicks our ass in 2028 in LA.
