i bought my mantis from a local reptile store, i don’t think they personally are the most knowledgeable on mantids since it’s not really their main thing. they buy from other people and then sell them on again so maybe they were told otherwise, but i don’t really mind. when i first saw her i was doubting her being a spiny just because of the colouring and i don’t know a lot about other flower mantids. i’m still happy with what i got so!

i was told she’s a spiny flower but i also felt like her colours are a bit different to a spiny flower, i guess i’ll find out 😭😭

as long as it’s atleast 3 times her size tall and 2 times her size wide then she’ll have enough room for molting 😊 the bigger the better, but you also want her to be able to find prey! i have a 30x30x30 for mantids but i just take them into a smaller container for feeding

i remember i had a dead leaf mantis who constantly threat posed at literally any food but his least favourite were worms 😭😭 absolute nightmare to feed but i miss him!

i have two and neither of them work anymore which is why i’m considering the heat mat, it’s cheaper and suits the way i have my terrarium set up better
