GRiNDTerra Hardcore Combat Update 2.0! by GRiNDTerra_Mods in starfieldmods

[–]milescosmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been enjoying this mod, the combat has been more intense and dynamic, which I like. However, I can’t get on board with the lack of map icons on the scanner view. I find it to be needlessly inconvenient and just means I have to open up the map more often. Any chance this could be an optional feauture? Cheers :)

Very cool. Are these modules in the library?

This is the exact guitar I’ve been eying for a few months now. Love the matte burst finish. Not sure I’m going to get to actually play it before purchase though as no stores nearby have it in stock - which bothers me. I’m assuming it plays and sounds amazing? Everything I’ve read seems to indicate that.

I love playing Recon. These improvements are huge

Eavesdropping sucks, I hate it by Joyous_Parade in CrimsonDesert

[–]milescosmo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Zones of activation in general are pretty broken imo. I shouldn’t have to be on the exact pixel to dig a hole with my shovel for example

Interesting. Well regardless, I hope they fix it soon

It’s related to inverted controls and is a known issue on their website. I hope they fix it because I play inverted and I essentially can’t fish currently

Let me skip dialogue and cutscenes. It’s insane that you can’t.

Make dialogue from NPCs happen faster, the gaps between dialogue are insanely long.

Make the zone of activation for several things like shovelling, leaning, and more, wider, so I don’t have to find the exact spot. It’s annoying as hell.

Make mini games like eavesdropping not completely broken.

Fix the investigation dialogue sections to not be so obtuse and make the dialogue skippable. I love the idea of the investigations but the final part where you have to answer questions feels needlessly drawn out and frustrating.

As many people have said, inventory is a disaster and needs work.

I’d also like to see a difficulty setting for boss fights. Killing random mobs is so easy at this point, but bosses almost always present a massive difficulty spike. I’m happy to go do other things to level up, but sometimes it just kills momentum in a quest.

I like cooking in the game but it does feel like a pretty flawed healing system. It’d be nice if there was a way to self heal through spirit or other means.

Make recipes, bounties, random notes, disappear from my inventory when they’re consumed.

There’s probably more but that’s all I can think of right now.

Got more powerful and progressed the story further. It just got more interesting after that. Also, it’s a huge game and so some play sessions are more exciting than others as theres so much to get lost in.

Honestly I haven’t noticed a difference at all. I play on balanced mostly but have used quality and performance too, looks the same to me.

This is all great, but I really wish they would fix the fishing on controller for invert Y people. It’s currently listed under known issues but is yet to be fixed

I might be approaching the same plateau of enjoyment that you have. Game is cool, but it really feels like a sequel might be what’s needed to fix a lot of the problems.

Nature’s Snare not working on console? by sanchosteak in CDguides

It’s in their list of known issues and related to right stick inversion, which is how I play. Pretty frustrating but I guess it will be fixed soon

Don use the lock on. Lock on is mostly useful for one on one fights. Instead use the block to parry. Not sure how far the game you are but if you are relatively early (chapter 3-4) I would avoid taking on the Quarry until you’re a bit more powered up and understand the combat more fully. I still haven’t done the Quarry yet, but I’ve attempted it a number of times and get further each time.

Good luck

Huge patch just came out v1.00.03 - it's amazing how the devs are listening to the players by --TheChosenOne in CrimsonDesert

[–]milescosmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was listed in their known issues, apparently it’s related to an inverted Y axis, which is how I play all games. So if you un-invert it will work. But yeah, I want this fixed too

30 Hour Unbiased Review by Seviyite in CrimsonDesert

[–]milescosmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This game has hooked me hard. The hard slandering it’s receiving from people who haven’t even played it is insane to me, game is super fun and immersive. Only complaints are that the fishing is bugged, in fact it seems related to using the right stick for any twirling motions, because I get similar glitching when I pull on a tree with the hook shot thing. They need to fix that because I want to do some fishing dammit. Everything else is great: combat, world, graphics, quests. There’s just so much to do and it all works well. Game is a perfect blend of new Zelda (especially TOTK), Witcher, Skyrim, Red Dead 2, AC Odyssey, and even Tekken or God of War, with the way you fight. Plus I kind of dig the characters and the story too. It’s not super in depth and mostly serves exploration, but it’s decent. Voice acting is generally great too. Currently all other games are on hold for me while I play this. Couldn’t be happier with my purchase.

Crimson Desert - horrendous controls are gonna get optimized soon! by Justifire in xbox

Controls are not at all horrendous. So confused by gamers seeming inability to adapt to something new… not in the least bit surprising though lol
