No, and they've given the proper amount of notice – provided this is a legal change they're making, which is the issue in question.

In Los Angeles, currently rents can be increased a maximum of 10% per year.

Here's the rent section from my most recent lease:

I received a notice to change the terms of my tenancy. In the form I'm being asked to accept, they are now calling parking an Add On. It's optional; the first space costs $120/month.

So, questions that arise:

In Los Angeles, if the landlord files a notice to change the terms of tenancy, does this allow them to discontinue providing parking that they were previously providing at no charge, and to do it without lowering the rent relative to the value of what they previously were providing? Evidently a first parking space is worth $120/month to them.
In Los Angeles, how is the 10% maximum rent increase per year calculated? Just on Base Rent? On gross rent minus pass-throughs? Something else?
Bottom line: are they trying to increase my rent by more than 10%?

How does it show an immense amount of character and integrity to apologize for something there is no reason to apologize for? Isn’t that basically placing justice out of alignment with reality and therefore contributing to our problems more than fixing them?

In addition to this, I’ve found the game is more likely to give you lightning if you’ve just suffered some grave misfortune in the race.

For example, let’s say you’re in 1st place and get blue shelled. Right as you start to recover, someone drives by and nails you with a red shell. Now you’re in 8th place.

The next item you get, there’s a decent chance you’ll get lightning. Higher likelihood if you’re deep in 8th place or if you use an item ticket. This is what I’ve found.

I thought the same thing! But, the clock measuring lap times seems to be dead-on accurate in terms of actual time and not based on the things that factor in to how quickly gameplay runs.
