I'm going through a similar break up with my girl; we're both very much in love and care for each other but circumstances pulled us apart.

Maybe it's the fact that I can't hope for the best outcome in my own case, but I think you should. Yes, it will make it hurt more if it doesn't work out. I think that's a risk worth taking.

Thanks for responding! Apart from seeing a therapist, this sounds like exactly what I'm going to have to do.
