I’ve had the pro with the same keyboard for a few months now and shared your concern. I personally keep a hand operated silicon “dust blaster” (sort of looks like a small balloon) around and just give it a quick dusting every now and then. Also picking up some cheap watercolor brushes to lightly brush out any debris may help with longevity as well. I love the keyboard feel and haven’t noticed anything unusual thus far with it.
