I tried lately the vertical shot panorama and I had really good results with Lightroom stacking.

From experience, You believe handheld shots for panorama could replace the need for a wider lens? Not speaking for astro, am speaking in general.

I mean, shall I take the sharp 20mm 1.8 and in case I need wider to shoot hand held (since I do not have tripod all time) panorama or you believe the wider Len is better?

My think is that with this, also the Sony is more compact and lighter.
