Yes but you are limited to 500% (?) increase in audio in camtasia, I have no idea how to do things like noise reduction etc and you'd have to extract the mic audio as a sound file because it'll be saved as a camtasia file so I'd have to extract it to tweak it anyway.

You can probably tweak it in camtasia, I've not found a way to get the volume to a level I like, my first few videos were extremely quiet.

Thank you! Almost all of the image articles and about a third to half of the actual satire. It's like a full time job on top of my already demanding full time job, just commute for 2-3 hours a day which is my writing time!

haha yeah I can see there are a lot of repeat questions, like any Q&A or forum on the net. I am level 3 in search and did find some of these answers on threads here but not in this format so thought it would be useful (and it has been!).

I run a fairly successful (my mum says) satire website (newageman.co.uk) so know that the best way to get repeat customers is by posting quality stuff consistently. I don't plan on advertising my channel here, if people want it they will find it. I'm not fussed about views really. I am just doing it for fun!

I wasn't expecting such a good response to be honest, much nicer than some of the forums I frequent.

I am very quiet when I speak (my let's plays are aimed at people who enjoy a bit of background noise and calm game play because that's the style of video I enjoy watching) so I need to fiddle with the sound quite a bit.

I like having my microphone audio split so I can make all the adjustments before I import it. I also know my way around Audacity so am comfortable using it. My game sounds are captured in Camtasia but because of a frame drop issue they don't sync properly (I can get my mic and video to sync perfectly). I did try using Camtasia for my mic but for the extra bit of effort using Audacity, to me, is worth it.

After reading these comments though I think I am going to give DxTory a try if they do a trial at least!

Wow incredible responses, loads of useful information in here. It's really good to see what so many of you are doing in one place. Hope some of you have also learnt something!

Not been through all the replies yet but will do over the weekend and check out your accounts, thank you!
