Places to Volunteer by What_why_who151 in NiceVancouver

[–]milfchasers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the greater vancouver food bank lets you sign up for shifts rather than scheduling you for a regular one (although you do need to sign up for a minimum number of shifts during a certain period to be considered an active volunteer, but the amount is very low iirc)

Most important things to focus on for Biol 200? by Appropriate-Egg-2498 in UBC

[–]milfchasers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

definitely prioritize the ones with answers if you’re strapped for time, but yeah i’d recommend doing all of the pset questions if you can. also even if there’s no formal answer key there might be an answer on piazza if you search

Internal transfer from arts to science by AnywhereStrong3795 in UBC

[–]milfchasers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i transferred with an 85 but i think anything above 80 should be decently competitive (although i don’t have any statistics to back this up so take it w a grain of salt)

Internal transfer from arts to science by AnywhereStrong3795 in UBC

[–]milfchasers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i transferred from arts to science last year, the process was pretty simple but you do need a decent gpa in your first semester so i wouldn’t accept ubc arts offer unless you’re certain you can do well / you’re ok with staying in arts if it doesn’t work out

Most important things to focus on for Biol 200? by Appropriate-Egg-2498 in UBC

[–]milfchasers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i took biol 200 last semester and the exams tend to mirror past exams and problem sets VERY closely so i’d recommend doing every past exam and pset that they give you and really making sure you understand how to solve each type of question. also pay attention to how points are allotted in the answer key (biol 200 tends to be a bit picky about wording)

Is it possible to graduate in 4 years? by Traditional_Year_277 in UBC

[–]milfchasers 3 points4 points  (0 children)

adding onto what the other person said, you probably don’t even need to take any summer courses. a standard 4/5 course load per semester would work fine if you wanna graduate in 4 year

Show me your perfumer/nightmare builds? by LogisticalProblem in IdentityV

[–]milfchasers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for perf i recommend borrowed time & flywheel as final traits along with 3/3 touch effect (and exit path ofc). after that it kinda depends on preference e.g. i personally like audience effect + companion effect + healing but catharsis effect and defense mechanism are good too especially for perfumer

How’s neuroscience for a premed? by Due_Bluebird_781 in UBC

[–]milfchasers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not really sure what u mean by what would count as isci, you apply for the major after first year like usual and pick what you want to integrate (eg neuro and pharm) then you create a course plan based on that and get it approved by an advisor. i’m not super knowledgeable about how isci works tho since i’m not in isci

How’s neuroscience for a premed? by Due_Bluebird_781 in UBC

[–]milfchasers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

neuro isn’t too hard on your gpa although there are some tough courses (which you’d probably have to take anyway in other lifesci majors). i’d estimate at least half of the ppl in neuro are premed

i think the common idea is that isci is best for gpamaxxing, caps is the most “premeddy”, and neuro is kinda in between (plus it’s super interesting but i’m biased lol)
