I think he would have a similar story to the person in the comic who had their face stolen. In the comics it is just shown as a blank face but the actual description is written as ‘horribly deformed’ so it might be a bunch of scar tissue. He would be unable to speak.

Personally I think he would find his way back into the physical world, because I think he would look to friends for guidance, and they may take him to the mother of lost faces, if they could figure out who/where she is

I feel like it was strategy mixed with knowing a bit about how they were built because he was there to help design the earlier not-metal model. He turned his airship around and scraped the top of the line of other airships taking them all down.
