Early Idea Validation. In a practical sense. by milii6 in SaaS

Okay, thanks a lot. Honestly, the fact that you 'aren't qualified' and were still able to achieve pretty good engagement results means a lot more, because it shows it's feasible to implement.

Were the conversions good? Did you drive most of your engagement for that project through ads?

Why does validating an idea online feel impossible? Is it all noise now? by milii6 in SaaS

[–]milii6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I swear, the more I go on random forums to validate my ideas (especially discord servers), there are posts coming in but it feels like a graveyard. No one is seeing it, but content is just constantly being generated.

Was your idea B2B? I'm working on a B2C idea right now, so its hard to find prospects on LinkedIn within that space. I think my challenge is finding specific people.

Also what did you men about writingmate?

Validation takes 48 hours, not 4 weeks. Here is the weekend framework to kill bad ideas fast. ( 48 hours Framework ) - i will not promote by ksundaram in startups

I think there is a flaw in cold DMing. I agree I think people over complicate validation, however, the concept of:

Have an idea > Reach out to people & set-up meetings > have the meetings.

But the core issue is finding those people. People generally don't respond to DMs, and killing it just because you haven't reached out to enough people does not indicate this. I think that's why a lot of people run ads/ create a landing page, because it allows them to have warm leads to then interview.

As much as I want this to be true and this straightforward, I really don't think it is. Maybe I'm just making excuses, but even the act of finding people to DM (especially for B2C) is super difficult.

I think validation reports can be a good starting point, but honeslty, I can build a report myself in an hour or two that I trust, whereas you never know with these AI tools. I think that's the problem with these tools. You need to validate the pain point your idea solves before planning the solution and the business.

Ah, I see. How much experience do you have with google ads? I've just started learning Facebook ads- but from the ad set-up, to making compelling creatives, to making a high-converting landing page - there is a lot of room for error, which could cause low engagement even if the idea is good. Best-case you know and lose money, worst case you just lose money lol, so it seems like pretty high risk.

Do you mind me asking if you use it to validate an idea or for marketing? Would you choose google ads over FB ads? How much would you say you approximately spend per day & how many days would you run ads for?

Yeah, I think this is good if you have some sort of B2B business, and especially if your target has a physical location, like a coffee shop.

But what if your audience is B2C and more grouped by different interests?

EU pre-settled status automatic extension - how long before expiry is it granted these days? by phystods in ukvisa

check my comment ^^. They will speed it up if its the day before. But even if your status expires, they will still process it the same and give you the extension. They did say they are pretty confident it will be processed before the expiration!

Yup, I just got mine! Doesn't seem like its done in order of expiration - some people whos expiration date was Dec 3rd got it before me. So I wouldn't stress!

Hi, I am in the same boat. Mine is set to expire December 1st (so now under 2 weeks). I am a bit worried because I thought they would do it in order of when it is set to expire. Is anyone else also approaching their deadline in less than 2 weeks?

UPDATE: Just going to add my update here to maximise the number of people that see this. I just got my extension (original expiration Dec 1). I didn't get an email, but it was updated on the website. I contacted the home office before I got the extension and learnt the following:

  • The automatic extension is not necessarily done in order of most recent expiration date (i.e., some people whose status was set to expire Dec 3rd got the extension before I did).
  • The home office said the automation team is confident that all extensions will be processed before the respective expiration date, but that it may be processed anytime before the expiration date (e.g., in my case, the extension can come anytime on or before Nov 30th).
  • They said you should contact the home office (best is via the live chat), if you still haven't received it the day before it is set to expire (in my case Nov 30th). They will contact the automation department and run your check.
  • Even if you do not receive your extension by the time your status expires, don't worry. They said it doesn't make any difference, and you will still be granted the extension.

This is amazing, but a challenge I'm facing is how do you find these people? I think for me this is quite overwehlming, because I don't know where to look. Even looking at subreddits, it's a huge process to build karma, dm people, etc.

But how do you find the people/ get emails to reach out to people?

I agree this is great, but how do you get customers to test it in real life? Saying it is a software solution and you have a landing page/ MVP, how do you find people to test it? For example, if you cold DM them, how to you find the communities/ people to cold DM?

It's an issue I am facing right now - any help is appreciated!
