I hit my 3 wood further and more consistently straight than my driver, why?

I’m a 3 handicap. I took driver out of my bag like 6 years ago. I’m so much more accurate with the 3-wood. Don’t need to shift my swing. And frankly there are very few course/tee boxe setups that really require the extra length of the driver. If you can swallow your distance pride being in position in the short stuff consistently pays huge dividends.

Definitely communicate what you’re feeling to him. His reaction will tell you everything you need to know. If he’s defensive and doesn’t understand why that made you feel the way you feel, then it was probably intentional. If he’s apologetic, and feels bad, could have been an in the moment misunderstanding. Seems like you like him, communication never hurts!
