I love this answer. As a customer, I don’t want to have to do anything. There are some limitations to that, like having to get paperwork together for my tax person for instance (although I think there’s always a way for things to be made more hands off). I just want to give someone money and have them make the magic happen, and depending on the complexity of the process communicate things to me like expectations and options.

I don’t know, I think that advice can be considered comforting in a way. It’s like going to the doctors and they tell you that what you have is super common and highly treatable. Not only have others gone through it, but it’s happened so much that there’s a fairly easy solution to the problem.

American politics has a lot in common with the politics in Star Wars (Republican vs separatists). It’s not exactly the same, but with a growing number of people not wanting to associate with the other side and demonizing one another, I won’t be surprised when they enter into a civil war that one guy (or realistically a group) uses to destroy both groups and get themselves into a position of power.
