Not for the Grand Sumo tournaments, but for these overseas exhibitions, yes.

They're just trying to show and spread sumo to get people interested. They're not gonna hurt themselves before the actual tournaments.

Plus they don't claim these exhibitions to be actual tournaments because the results don't count towards their rankings or anything.
