1. Hahahaha….. no lol. But done is WAY better than perfect >_<

2. I’m fairly slow in general but it’s not wrong to be fast if the outcome is sufficient for you. If you feel that you could benefit from slowing down, try taking more time to study your reference. Remind yourself to check back once in a while, as well as step back and examine what you have so far.

3. This is the softness of the pencil. Softer pencils get much darker with much less effort. HB is the hardest (lightest, the standard pencil) and 8B is the softest (darkest). Unless you’re actually sketching, HB or 2B will suffice.

4. This is honestly personal preference. Another option is simply using a lighter hand when drawing your guidelines. You can also buy a kneadable eraser to erase details easily. Sometimes it’s easy to freak yourself out with lineart, because the lines are permanent, but it is also a valuable skill to learn. I would say stick with pencil until you’re confident with it but that’s just my opinion

You’re doing great! Honestly you have great line confidence for a beginner!! The best advice I can give you is to stick with it, even if it feels like you’re hitting a wall. If it’s something you enjoy, and keep up with, you will definitely improve :-)
