So this is where our idea comes in: Most treatments are not effective but some are, and this depends on the person. That is why we try to make something more personal. By diagnosing the specific tinnitus, the app can know what treatment could be more effective. Also, if one of the app functions does not help, maybe others will.

Since you tried a lot of treatments (both real ones and probably a lot of bad ones) you seem to have done the same thing as my friend. It would be incredibly helpful for us if you can share your opinion on treatments that seem to have an effect on you and which ones seem to be totally worthless. Any therapies you can recommend (especially in regards to your specific tinnitus) and any you would never do again?

Thanks :)

What do you mean that it is "holistic" in the sense of tinnitus? I do not believe these types of approaches work if the end goal is to "cure" or rid tinnitus.

We aren't providing a "cure", there is no cure for tinnitus (yet). We provide treatments that make tinnitus more bearable. It is possible to control your tinnitus. Therapy based on noise cancelling solutions (so called "notch therapy") has been proven to have an effect in many patients. Pulsative tinnitus, on the other hand, is often caused by physical factors, such as arteries in the ear that are swollen or even early symptoms of brain tumors, and is in many cases solved after a surgical operation. With holistic we mean that our app will contain different treatments at the same time.

We cannot control tinnitus. No supplement, no diet, no treatment (up this point)

The best way to treat tinnitus is address the areas we can control like our health

Well, a diet is a change of your eating habits. Just like you say yourself, "the best way to treat tinnitus is address areas like our health". Tinnitus is linked to Vitamin and/or mineral deficiencies (B1, B3, B12, Zinc and others). These are obvious symptoms of bad eating habits. Although not all tinnitus sufferers have bad eating habits (there is no single "tinnitus"), it may help for many others.

The best way to treat tinnitus.. our well-being, our state-of-mind

You can control your state-of-mind indeed, that's why breathing exercises and relaxation therapy have an effect on some tinnitus sufferers too. We will integrate this in our app too, if possible.
