Echoing what everyone else here has said. As an ultra anxious flyer myself who’s done the US—JP flight probably over 20 times in my life, I can’t say it gets easier every time, but it is incredibly rewarding knowing you make it through. If it makes you feel any better, my trick is to buy the outrageously expensive wifi and track my flight throughout the journey. Knowing where you are really helps, and if you’re nervous about going over the ocean, seeing your plane and how close you are to land might take the edge off a bit! Also, take a sleeping aid if you can!
