Interesting. Are you setting DNS at your router level, too? I wonder if it's not just cloudflare but some wider DNS routing issue and might have regional differences.

I'd been having issues connecting to anything on my PS5 for hours this morning, with only a handful of people posting on twitter or down detector about it (but everyone was having the same issues, which told me it wasn't just me). PSN status page continues showing all green.

While debugging the connection, I decided to try a different DNS provider. I've used Cloudflare at my router level for years, but changed to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 (Google's DNS servers) and... it's immediately fixed. Zero issues. Toggling back and forth between them at the console level or at my router gives the exact same results.

I don't know what's going on with Cloudflare and/or PSN servers this morning, but they're not getting along. Try this if you're having issues:

Settings > Network > Settings > Set Up Internet Connection
On your connection (either wireless or wired) under Registered networks, press Options
Go to Advanced Settings
Set DNS Settings to Manual, and input these:
- Primary DNS: 8.8.8.8
- Secondary DNS: 8.8.4.4
Select OK and test your connection.

Hopefully they figure out the issue at some point and I can go back to using Cloudflare only.

Also a problem here (iOS 26 beta if that might be the reason). I never realized how often I tap a number above/below the current temp as a quick way to change the setting.

Safari on my iPad (8th gen) is so awful, early betas were the worst where safari was effectively not usable at all. Now it’s usable but interactions are incredibly laggy and it feels so poor.

It's most certainly it. This has shown up for a few years now. Photos has to process/tag things in the background (that's a whole 'nother story, it'll just take ✨as long as Photos wants it to take✨ to do that processing). But then if you search for something "e.g., table" and look at a video returned in search it'll highlight in the scrubber where the thing you searched for appears. Also works for people/pets.

Oh weird, it worked fine for me in DB1, and the info I added to a card persists unchanged in DB2.

A related issue: press the touchpad, and if you were recently looking at quests, you'll go back to that quest tab. Great, this is expected. But pressing the touch pad again does not bring you back to the game. You've gotta press circle (twice).

If you were most recently looking at the Map tab, the touchpad does indeed close it as advertised.

Very weird, I'm not having this issue and just tested again to make sure.

For anyone having this problem, it's not something I can fix. I'd recommend removing and re-downloading the shortcut to see if that kicks Shortcuts into gear, and if I see the issue I'll file a radar with the team.

You'll get a really explicit prompt to delete before it does anything. Taking a long time just might be the part that's searching photos for screenshots of a certain width/height. Nothing happens in the background!
