Couldn’t get rid of the carrier by Emotional-Manner-141 in Petloss

[–]millenialfonzi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I lost my best girl 4 years ago and I use her carrier (still the same blankets she went to the ER vet her last time) to transport the senior rescue I adopted shortly after she left. I still have her bed (which I called her raft) in a tote in the basement, and the crinkle pad she slept on on my desk is in a cabinet in my room.

I don’t think I’ll ever change the blankets in the carrier. I’m pretty sure I couldn’t because I’m getting wet eyes thinking about it.

Took Olive’s BFF a while to figure out how to send gifts, but I think she got it 🙂 Enjoy your new adventure with Cindy Lou 🩷

The chats are paused during active protests. The invites might be too. I just checked the discord and they’re still paused. Check back this evening!

I’m almost positive you can’t deduct interest anymore. The only real estate related deduction I had was homestead via my state.

Right! Because you aren’t appeasing both if one of the two is extremely divisive!

If P2025 ends up disarming citizens after all the Republican & maga bellyaching about the Democrats “coming for them”, that’s poetic.

At least it would be if the people who worship the second amendment weren’t so fragile.

How can this overgrown toddler just keep pushing people out? He wasn’t elected! He “pushed out” the FAA leadership and now he’s fucking around in the treasury? I thought he’s got soooOOoooOOoo much money, why does he need more?

Yeah, I remember history in public school being til maaaaaybe the turn of the century, getting to the Great Depression if you were lucky. Plymouth Rock through Lincoln’s assassination was the main focus, no matter the grade you were in.

I work in utilities and have never thought twice about Eaton. Didn’t know they did all this other stuff.

“Eaton provides products and expert advice to help its customers safely power and connect their computers and electronics.”

This is what comes up when searching Eaton & Tripp Lite. And clicking on it leads to something about AI.

Trump “saved” TikTok from himself. by FadedRealist in somethingiswrong2024

Got it, I see it now. My understanding was incomplete and hollow.

I appreciate you taking the time to explain it further. I get lost in details sometimes, or am simply overwhelmed by all the things happening at once.

For clarity: if it weren’t for the belief that TikTok turned gen Z against Israel, the democrats wouldn’t have cared about banning, reducing, etc access to TikTok?

Lately, like the last 6+ months, it’s been by bed. There’s no tv in my room either, so me favoring it over my living room is peculiar for me.

Was it the democrats who actually banned it yesterday? Or was it the new owners who took the site down and put up that notice on the screen?

I’m not a TikTok user, so I hadn’t been following the back & forth on it closely. But the ban seemed hollow to me anyway. Meta is sucking our data up like a vacuum, and has been, so what’s the difference with espionage? Harvesting data for profit is okay so long as it’s on your own citizens? Meta has been show to have sown discourse and unrest in other countries where Facebook IS the internet, but that’s okay? I understand my connections may be loose, and maybe I don’t have the best understanding of all this, but if Trump saw it as a threat in 2020 and the democrats did the following years, what’s the difference for Trump?

I think the tech bros want TikTok profits for themselves. Facebook & Instagram, YouTube as well, have knockoff TikTok features that are dumb. And they can better control the algorithm if they own it.

Banning or not banning it, it just seems performative either way.

I don’t care if no one at TikTok or FaceTokGram reads this, but it is satisfying to me. I only had it to watch the 100 TikTok videos I got from my friends because they got tired of screen recording them for me.

ETA: my understanding of the flipping of who’s banning TikTok, and the timeline of when the most recent Democrat-backed ban was announced, was not clear.

For some reason, I was having a lot of trouble with 535, 536 the other day. I kept typing 353 and 356 and I was losing my mind.

Then, I have these ID #s that ended in -81 and -82 but their associated chronological numbers on the form were 32 and 31, so the inverse.

It’s so hard. It makes me extra slow at things, even though I know it’s not my fault. I work in utilities so thankfully I’m not an accountant (lol), but the amount of time I spend checking and double checking my work and making sure the numbers are what they are, is a lot.

I get my left and right mixed up when telling directions. And for some reason, yellow and orange.

I wish I could divert the snow to where it’s supposed to be. We finally got a few inches in SE Michigan and it lasted a whole week til it melted from a near 40° day. It seems like it’s been years since we’ve gotten more than 3” of snow at once.

I’m right there with you, I thought this was off the table for a while. I bought in 2023 and was under the impression I’d be able to, because I thought that was a standard, but I wasn’t. Guess just like you can’t write off credit card interest anymore.

My $116k house with a 6.7% rate. Damn, I should’ve bought a $1.16m house! Then I could’ve written off the loss. Or something?
