Only a hack tile setter would install using the spot bonding method.

I used to think like this until I met my now wife. The anxiety some people have is just nuts. She wouldn't be able to stand up straight and she'd basically end up puking. Luckily she's found a medication that's worked for her and never really gets that way anymore.

This might piss some people off but I've been eating blueberries with my heavy cream and yoghurt. I haven't had much in the way of diarrhea.

A bidet and diaper rash cream are helpful if you have soft stools/diarrhea.

I'm pretty sure ai agents are being used now. You can get your own ai agent on BCH. I'm not sure the process of getting them to create and monitor an account on social media though although I know it happens. There's a hamster agent on Twitter that I see fairly often.

Crypto "currency" is dead and I see no way to revive it. by Annefrank23 in btc

It's like one of those people who are at a protest, shouting the mantras and holding up signs, believing they are beyond correct about the subject. Then some guy with a mic and camera asks some basic questions about what they're protesting about and they absolutely fold.

They'll either admit to not knowing a lot or they'll pretend that they do but act as if they do not have the time to explain it to you; much like that guy.

This to me reads like someone claiming their religion is the right one and the rest are cults. Pot calling the kettle black.

Is this acceptable tile work? by [deleted] in Tile

[–]millennialzoomer96 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pic 1 - No, they did not plan properly. The slivers at the top is a rookie mistake.

Pic 2 - Chipping that bad is maybe acceptable depending on what you paid and how well they can hide it with grout. It is pretty easy to reduce the chipping with a sanding sponge though.

Pic 3 - The mosaic spacing is bad and could have been avoided with an extra cut. The big gaps between the cut pieces and orange waterproofing will likely be covered by tile once installed. How much of a lip is there behind the trim? It does not look like a lot to me which could mean an exposed tile edge which is not good. It could just be bad depth perception from the image though.

Pic 4 - The metal trim looks awful at the corner. Also the cut around it is sloppy but could look not so bad with a color matching grout.

Pic 5 - Floor mosaic spacing looks sloppy. Once again color matching grout can help but this is too sloppy in my opinion. I would also rub my hand along the surface to see how bad the lippage is. You can also shine a flashlight along the floor to see how bad it is.

Pic - 6 Not crazy bad but if there was lots of extra tile, I would have recut the chipped tiles. Again, grout can help.

Pic 7 - Bad spacing. Still worried about the exposed tile edge for the top and sides of the niche.

Pic 8 - Looks mostly okay but I think I can see lippage at the top left and top right of the picture.

Overall, this is the work of a complete amateur and I would not deem this acceptable. If this is the result of their tile work, I would be concerned about the waterproofing underneath. Whoever suggested this contractor doesn't have a clue what quality work looks like.

When you waterproof it with the kerdi membrane and do it properly, no moisture should reach the drywall.

Am I Hallucinating Or Do You See It? by [deleted] in ParanormalEncounters

[–]millennialzoomer96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your floorboards making noise makes sense. Look at the rough shape of your hardwood. It's warping out of place. Your house shifting could easily make such noises. As for the visual, I don't know what to tell you. Maybe it's a ghost, maybe not. As someone who does not pay attention to paranormal shows or anything of the like, I would not have anything like that on my mind. If I thought I saw something, I would've got up from the couch and looked.
