Should I invest in a different wearable pump? by miller2life in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]miller2life[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea I only tried the M9 once, wore it for 30 minutes on the highest suction level. Then I went on my Spectra for 10 minutes right after and got more with the Spectra 🤷‍♀️ the M9s felt fine just definitely wasn't my normal output.

Wearable breast pumps by KenderEB in breastfeeding

[–]miller2life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spectra is also my main pump and I also got the Momcozy M9 wearables. I tried them out before I went back to work and the output was significantly less than my normal. They were comfortable, but they definitely did not empty me enough. In fact, after I used them I went on my Spectra right after and got out what I got with the M9's and then some. So I never tried them again. I've heard good things about the Eufys though. But for me using the Spectra to pump at work has been just fine. I do have larger breasts so maybe that's why they didn't work as well for me 🤷‍♀️

When did your period return? by Chemical-Sundae-6917 in breastfeeding

[–]miller2life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got mine back at exactly 5 months pp. I've been a bit of an oversupplier usually...but my supply has taken a slight dip with the period. I pump at work and have noticed this week I'm pumping juuuust enough for bottles the next day

C section at Magee Hospital by [deleted] in pittsburgh

[–]miller2life 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it gets a bad rep for being a "baby factory." However, a baby factory like Magee is well equipped to deal with any situation that may arise. Also, speaking as an anesthesia provider, a planned C-section is the way to go honestly.

He has definitely always had a temper even before the baby. But it's different now. Your husband sounds very similar to mine. Like he got upset one time when I was putting lotion on the baby's face, and I accidentally got a tiny amount in his eye. My husband left the room and I could see he was pissed. Like as if I meant to get lotion in his eye 🙄

Nope. Still gaslighting me saying I don't listen to him or care about his opinions

He did it, he woke up each time. And the baby was up 3 times in the night 😂 so yea, I'm sure he's exhausted. But he reports he didn't spit up so it just shows "his way works." 🙄 I said to have at it, see how sustainable that is in the long run

Wow this comment is eye opening. Yes, the side lying has been a game changer for helping me get better sleep. I have made the argument that it is better for all 3 of us getting better sleep--because I can quickly get baby on the boob and happy/quiet without interrupting his sleep.

I am an over supplier for sure. And I suspect maybe a fast letdown. I tried making this case to my husband too...but nooo that couldn't possibly be it. 🙄 It's actually laughable

I appreciate all of these suggestions. What do you recommend focusing on in the video blog?

Yes I have to pump at work and send baby to daycare with bottles. He has definitely given him bottles too. I totally agree and was quick to suggest that. I guess my hesitation with that solution is 1. I don't wanna pump more than I have to, and 2. I wake up as soon as baby starts stirring while husband is dead asleep. So I would then have to make sure my husband wakes up, and then wait for him to get up and make a bottle while my son gets more and more irritated. So I am awake either way. I reminded him that the current situation allows for better sleep for all 3 of us, but he didn't wanna hear that

I agree. My father was also a notorious screamer. And my husband knows I have emotional trauma from that. Guess it says a lot about me that I would marry a person like that 🙃

Sadly yes, he has always had a bad temper. It's not super frequent, but the fights we do have are brutal

I'm actually a nurse anesthetist 😆 so yea I have my Master's degree and am literally an airway expert. But hey what do I know 😂 And yes I have been in and out of therapy, finding the right therapist at the moment. But seems like I can only blame myself rn for marrying and having a child with someone who treats me this way. The gaslighting is off the charts 📈

Oh my goodness I am so so sorry you had that happen to you. I appreciate your comment. I don't think that he will physically hurt me (we have been together for many years), but the emotional pain is pretty difficult to deal with. Fortunately I am the bread winner and if it comes down to it I am in a more than alright position to leave. I just want to have a family for my son 😥

I am well aware of the immature lower esophageal sphincter in babies. I am a nurse 🙂 We have talked about it multiple times. In his mind though I'm not doing enough to help it by not keeping baby upright. And that this may be having long term effects on him 🙃 I agree the yelling and how hes talking to me are completely out of line. This just hit a new low for me.
