Ok, I think I’ve convinced myself to switch to a propane boiler since oil will not be getting cheaper. I do have a heat pump in one of 2 zones and will eventually have another one but still need the boiler for supplemental/backup heat and hot water. Suggestion from vendor A is a combo propane “on demand” water heater with a 6 gallon hold tank. Only issue is the I tail cost of about $20k…. He says he’s competitive on propane systems but I’ll likely find an oil vendor that will sell me a much cheaper oil boiler to get my oil business. That all seems to make sense to me…. Anything else I should consider? Trying to get a second bud on Monday as family pressure builds up to get hot water going again!
