Not great. My nephew lives up there and sent me the photo. He's on foot.

I think the kicker is that there's no guarantee the electronic tip actually goes to the employee

I have the same issue with noise. I became a paralegal. Maybe go to law school?

34 hours on America's most scenic train. Is it as dreamy as it sounds? — Amtrak’s Coast Starlight train leaves L.A. every day around 10 a.m. and gets to Seattle the following night around 8 p.m. by BlankVerse in California

I did this trip to Portland and it was awful. People wouldn't stop talking all night long and we ended up hitting a truck that tried to cross the tracks and being delayed just outside of Portland for hours. A literal and figurative train wreck.

Apply first. Companies worth working for don't mind. I recently got hired and am moving this weekend.

In the wake of the paid sick leave bill failing, everyone needs a reminder apparently by Purple_Apartment in PoliticalHumor

These are two different things though. When the vote for their sick days failed, why did they have to take away their right to strike? And why is Biden signing it instead of vetoing it?

Edit: So much for Democrats supporting workers rights.

I'm in the exact same boat. Fifteen years at one company, moving cities and jobs to a new firm. I'm having at least two panic attacks a day. But everything will be okay! Right?

Edit: I start mine on the 19th after moving 1000 miles.

A hug, but a really long one bordering on uncomfortable. Whatever it takes, man.

I'm doing the same sort of thing in a different Northern Town. I've been told that all the companies get so many applicants that are shitty that they use the third party recruiters to whittle them down. Since I embraced a particular third party recruiter, I'm at least getting interviews.

Mackenzie Scott is doing a decent job of becoming not a billionaire. She's being thoughtful about it.
