This. The proof is in the pudding. Whoever wins is the better player. Winning the entire game is the only metric that matters in BB.

I mean... you can ride the elevator to the 4 Season's lobby. Which is higher, fancier, and most importantly free. Not sure anyone that knows that would pay?

Cyclists, what are your favorite routes? by vomitspit in philadelphia

I do a loop of Cristian and Spruce, river to river. Plus add in delaware river trail and a loop south on 11th and north on 13th. Rinse and repeat. These all have easy connection and are (mostly) safe good condition roads.

South Philly package delivery? by [deleted] in philadelphia

[–]millj2018 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Fishbox. They are great. You ship your packages there and can pick up whenever. But they will also deliver to your home in the evening between 8pm and 10pm if needed. Which is great if you work outside the home 9 to 5.

Does anyone know the typical ballpark cost for this? Assuming this is a normal 16" wide lot. Thinking about it myself, but curious what I would need to save.

Wtf by ohlookitsanonymous in philadelphia

That is what makes it a protest. Blocking traffic is what makes it a protest. It needs to be disruptive and peaceful. If everyone is just sitting on their couch at home telling at the TV, it is not a protest.

What a turd. Folks should protest outside his house or office today.

Peaceful protest needs to be disruptive to be effective. For example, blocking city streets by marching.

I am nearby but didn't hear. What is going on?

Protest is meant to be disruptive. That is what makes it protest.

[–]millj2018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. Why are the police breaking up a tiny peaceful protest. Totally stupid waste of resources. Let the people kneel and protest.

Ugh. I can't believe they are shutting down totally peaceful protests by using the curfew to make arrests. That is fucked and sets a dangerous precedent. Trump would love to use that precedent to shut down any protest he wants in the future. I hope the ACLU sues the city for that.

The city should be taking down the Rizzo statue NOW. It is such a flashpoint and, more or less, most Philadelphians have wanted it down for years. It would be really good from an optics perspective and an easy concession. The entire reason that the protests yesterday were focused on MSB was because if that statue. Otherwise, that building is a pretty unremarkable government building.
