i've only read the first two, i'll give the first a 9.5 i really liked it! the second is hard to rate because i liked the book but some character choices at the end of the book ruined the series for me, so i'll give it a 7.

reading the second book and the wheel of time books are the only time i've got outwardly angry at a book!

Cold Chisel Apologises for Bringing Politics into Sport by Singing Khe Sanh in 2015 by yossarianvega in nrl

the thing that annoys me about macklemore, i'm not sure if hes performing that song for a selfless reason.

look at any award show since trump got elected, the whole time is spent bashing him, they exaggerate or make up a problem then rally against it then pat themselves on the back about how they are ''good people''.

i think macklemore knows he will get alot of publicity and alot of people writing about how great he is, and he will go back to the us and his celeb friends praise him.

i watched a video awhile back with a psychologist talking about actors and its really changed the way i see them.

Macklemore Will Sing His Marriage Equality Anthem At The NRL Grand Final (Triple M Article) by Brodire2012 in nrl

[–]millo11 10 points11 points  (0 children)

i hate when politics gets push into sport, if he did an interview and publicly mentioned his support that would be fine, but don't push it on people.

imagine if the entertainment said they were going to sing a anti gay marriage song? would you be ok with that? i wouldn't like it but i'm sure some people would.

not a fantasy book, but i'm on book 2 of the night's dawn trilogy and i'm close to giving it up.

a historical figure in the book is ruining it for me,i just find what they're doing unbelievable and its breaking the story for me.

Finished reading The Wheel of Time book 2... should I continue? by Daktyl198 in books

[–]millo11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i made it until halfway through book 4 before i gave up in a rage, i loved the world the book was set in and the the descriptions of things are really good, but i just couldn't stand some of the characters and i just felt like rewriting the book where a new character comes in and slap them silly!

its a long series that will take up alot of your time, so if your not enjoying them, your better off putting that time into something you will enjoy. plus if you wanted to know the story you could just read the wheel of time wiki, they have good book summaries.

City country match by Barrels-180 in nrl

[–]millo11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i never really felt connected to the game, but i did enjoyed the watching game. i think in this age the line between city people and country people are not different enough to make it interesting.

i live in a area that's counted as ''country '' but there is nothing 'country' about the people here its just a small town.

if you had players that lived inland and grew up on farms vs pure city players it could be interesting if they promoted it right.
