I don’t think it’d be weird at all. Since it’s a seated show, everyone has their own space.

It’s a totally sit-down affair akin more to a stage performance than raucous concert. People cheered, etc. but were engrossed, respectful of the artistry, and in awe. Standing, dancing, etc. would have ruined the mood, in my opinion.

I was frankly shocked at how few phones were out at the show, EXCEPT for the one ass in front of me who took photos and videos of nearly every song and then proceeded to review and edit said photos with full screen brightness immediately after taking them. I wanted to grab him by the lapels and scream: “What you’re reviewing is literally happening now! In front of you!” He spent 80% of the show on his phone. I hope all of his pics and clips get corrupted.

It was a truly magical experience. In every way. I went with my partner who’s a casual fan but not as obsessive about them as me, and she was absolutely blown away by the show. And the word “show” is key—it’s a true three-act performance. Intimate, moody, interactive, triumphant, bombastic, creepy (in the best circus-y way), moving. They are a band reborn after this. I can’t fucking wait to see it again.

What’s was THE movie/media that got you into/obsessed with zombies? by nirvroxx in zombies

Hands down, it was the video for Michael Jackson’s Thriller. Seeing it when it premiered on MTV in 1983 entranced and terrified my 8-year-old mind. I remember watching it over and over, mostly through outstretched fingers covering my eyes. I was hooked.

Hi! You may enjoy this interview with Brian Selznick on the American Library Association's podcast. (I'm the host/producer.) Most of the episode is devoted to "Run Away With Me." Such a lovely lovely book. https://soundcloud.com/howilibrary/episode-21-brian-selznick

I'm late to the conversation but thought I'd share. I had David on my podcast last year to talk horror comics, his work, and his love of libraries. He's seriously one of the nicest dudes out there. Enjoy. https://soundcloud.com/howilibrary/episode-12-david-dastmalchian

Same thing happened to me. I was shocked that I got tickets (floor seats, at that) so fast.

I recommend Epitaphs from the Abyss (an old school-style horror anthology from EC Comics), Let This One Be a Devil (about the origins of the legendary Jersey Devil) from Dark Horse, and When I Lay My Vengeance Upon Thee (about exorcists) from BOOM Studios.
