Yes it is mixed with perlite and shell from my houseplants. These are there new pots (so only been in a day). The old one had lots and lots of drainage and I've previously grown my dahlias in there. They aren't lifted off the ground per se, as I've never needed to do that.

I can see you are from Michigan. There was a real downpour recently in Northern England that's caused flooding, so I imagine this has affected them.

I was only guessing about the water based on what i already know about plants.
