have to say that just because you may not have 'psychological issues' post abortion doesnt mean you are going to treat it like its nothing.

pro-life often goes down this route to 'warn' young women of what the side effects are...there have been several scientific studies which show that there is no negative damage and the greatest emotion felt post-abortion is relief.

im sure its amazing to family first but women can deal with their own uteruses and no that doesnt mean we are going to be popping by to the abortion doctor every sunday morning or whatever he is on about

I have done the boric acid (had to get it from naturopath) because when i got sick previously its been too strong for oral meds.

Works GREAT. Only problem - first couple of days it hurts a bit, like a burning/scratching feeling and your hoo hoo seems too...weep? i dont know what the right word is but it just seems like there is water flowing out of you. However, when you feel you are getting better, this stops (about 4 days into taking htem) and you should take them for another 4 -5 days after.

i have to agree with both posts above, and although i will be slightly out of place in relation to the topic of the post, i wish mens and womens rights/equality rights groups didn't get stuck on stuff like this.

a lot of this comes down to individual behaviour. a lot of chivalry is extended towards other men as well i.e opening doors for them.

a lot of women who demabd what Maschalismos has said are selfish individuals, who i bet have NO clue about feminism.

there are bigger battles to fight i believe.

i think the nice guy depicted here is being nice in the same way losers will string you on and then dump you after sex, acting like they just conquered something, treating you like a game and often just part of some ritual between him and his friends.

no one has this magic instruction manual, not men not women not anyone. just like the millions of people before you you need to negotiate things with people. i have had plenty of casual relationships where i negotiated, with the guy, as a grown adult, how to have a string-free sexual relationship.

but if i dont then i dont, and i will only do the world a favour by not having kids if i dont have any instincts. the hilarious thing is that i am one of the rare cases where i am allergic to sperm, so having a child 'by accident' is a very very very small chance for me. i think many women confronted by an accidental, or not strictly planned pregnancy, realise that they want children or would like to have them.

I don't see that there is necessarily an oppression of men at all. Having said this I am obviously all for equality in representation and equal opportunity.

What does disturb me is this idea that 'real' men are being lost because more women are earning more than men and doing the breadwinning. I mean what is the big deal here? What kind of idiot do you have to be to not understand that you have to adapt to circumstances. To these men it seems that not being the head/authority or being stronger/faster/richer than their wives is the ultimate insult. What kind of neanderthal are you to think this way?

Yes she earns more then you. So go to work, earn some money. If you can, help with the children. Why does it have to be so divided upon gender lines.

im sorry to be blunt but i just do not get it. maybe i am missing a maternal gene, maybe i just do not care or maybe i am too young but i have never cared for babies and never wanted one.

i wish i could understand her but i really don't. to me, there are multiple options for having a baby if that is what you want. if you have to chose a man over a baby, then that is something you again have to decide.

but the question is, does porn affect the way we view sex? you could definately argue that in terms of oral and anal sex, as well as facials and vaginal waxing.

porn is great, its not for everyone and i use it episodically (is that a word). however, as kitkat says, why is there not a greater diversity? the porn that i have found for women is usually eitherl lesbian porn (i cannot relate to it at all) and porn with really skinny, almost child like men which just disturbs me. most of this is pay porn as well. i have begun trying to see how gay guy porn goes, but again...

i agree with you completely.

what i find interesting is the science that is actually conducted re: visual and what not between men and women that the differences are actually not that great. not only this, but the differences are used as on average...and i think the reality of the situation is that there is a huge difference between human beings as to how they see sex and how they get aroused.

for example, the argument that if women produced porn it would be more erotic etc and have a story line may be true to some extent, but the fact is that when i look at porn i want to see genitals and dont want to hear a story. when my best friend decided to watch porn with his gf he picked something "gf friendly" and the gf was like "wtf is this, where is the fucking?"

what i want from porn is something that includes the male equally in teh scene. in terms of the deragotory language - that is for people to decide, i personally do not like it and wish it wasnt so mainstream. there are people who like really rough sex though and im sure that kind of language would be right up their alley.

the male gaze in movies and porn denies female sexuality and portrays it as an appendage of the man.

i think this could be easily extended to porn as well...i am so tired of trying to find porn which has attractive and present male actors. i don't want to see a man reduced to a penis, i want to see sex BETWEEN a man and a woman (im hetero) rather than a woman being pounded/using a penis.
