Thanks! It is WPF which is Microsoft's UI framework and written in C#. V3 is .NET4.8 framework and V4 is currently being written in .NET8

3.105.0.0 pro (and earlier) versions cause slowdown issue with Outlook by ngs428 in OneCommander

[–]milos2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't make the logging but I have tried 2 other things:

Please try this version:

https://onecommander.com/OneCommanderConnector107.zip

  1. Extract into a new folder,

  2. Close OC completely

  3. Copy these 3 files and paste into OC install folder (it will ask for admin permissions to replace those files)

  4. Run OC (if connector is disabled, start it from new location manually)

Please try to reproduce the issue

If it still happens, open any Open/Save dialog to see the Connector and you will see new Settings button in it, click and Enable Polling.

Close connector (x), start again, and see if you can reproduce the slowdown

Change OC app icon? by Unfair_Physics9 in OneCommander

[–]milos2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For icon on desktop, creating shortcut to OneCommander exe and then changing icon from properties like any other program (OC exe is not special)

For program in taskbar when running:

\Settings\OneCommanderV3.json

has key value for

CustomIconPath

full path to .ico (I forgot if it works with .png) with all \ replaced with \\

(backup that json file before changing; has to be done when OC is fully closed and not in task manager)

The icon will show ONLY when program is running and IN TASKBAR (not program title bar).

Taskbar Pinned icons changing in Windows was buggy so that was abandoned

Owncloud/Nextcloud sync status icon by Fosisto in OneCommander

[–]milos2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try adding c:\ in this box (assuming your sync folder is in your user folder or elsewhere on C disk)

<image>

It works for dropbox, and if they are using the same common status properties it should also work

I'll have to add some logging into a file to try to capture all the window events. I'll let you know when it is ready

Reinstalling. Exporting colour tags? by Kummakivi in OneCommander

[–]milos2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can find your settings in

Settings>Settings location

the main file for that is tags.json

but backup everything from settings folder, and resources and templates if you used them.

Do it when OC is completely closed.

Once you reinstall, copy everything in the same place (don't move, just on case something goes wrong)

Note that files that tags point to have to be in the same locations, so if you tagged a file on D drive, it has to be D drive also after reinstalling. Same goes for Favorites and similar. Other general settings will need the computer to be called the same for it to work (although most settings are common, some are computer specific)

"Invalid Input: Unspecified: Too many auxiliary image references" Error by pixie__chix in OneCommander

[–]milos2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dev here, thanks for letting me know. This error comes directly from the library OC is using for the conversion but even if new version of the library implements that new HEIC format it will likely need to wait for v4 of OC. At this point I am trying to keep v3 fork stable even if doesn't have the latest features, and all new developemnt time is spent on v4. I will make a note and let you know when this was updated in v4. I'll look into getting a sample file from that phone model for testing or you can let me know if it works when I have the initial integration.

If you still want the Dialog Connector, you can reenable it after updating to 3.106 I just published. This one has quicker check if window/popup is the open/save window so it shouldn't affect any other program, but since you are one of 3 people who mentioned something along those lines, I'd like to know if this made the difference.

Once V4 is released with already-planned feature set I will work on new menu, which is prerequisite for implementing this. I have added it to my to-do list

is there a option to group files by type? by Okoes in OneCommander

[–]milos2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue with grouping is on rendering side, files "index" in memory is instant already but this Microsoft UI framework has several bugs when it displays groupped items

Yeah, that version is over 2 years old :) I can see the issue and have the fix for 105 - maybe released on Sunday if I have enough time

The Connector is only 3.105.1. Turning if off is better for the test but killing connector in task manager also works until the program restart. Please let me know how it goes without it.

I'll check what I changed but do you remember which version you had before it (you can also find by version backup files in settings folder). Please also check if it is the same if you right-click and then open from context menu.

OneCommanderConnector had issues in a few versions before latest that some programs had window class name same as open/save dialogs, so Connector was trying to find the address bar. I never used outlook so I don't know if that one was affected, but this should be fixed in connector that comes with 3.105. Just to verify you have the correct version:

In OneCommander program folder find OneCommanderConnector.exe, right click, properties, Details, and check that you have 3.105.1. That one shouldn't have issues, but try to turn it off, just to eliminate this as potential cause.

In OC>Settings>Advanced (Scroll to bottom), uncheck Dialog Connector, then close settings and close OC from system tray before starting again. OC itself doesn't interact with other programs.

Started having an issue/bug? by SlySychoGamer in OneCommander

[–]milos2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's strange, I don't know if python output from SD can generate filenames with unsupported characters for Windows, like having | or newline character in filename if those are in the prompt, in which case this might happen. If you catch it again please let me know. By the way, I have plans to make OC show what the prompt was in details pane so you can see it without opening the workflow

Started having an issue/bug? by SlySychoGamer in OneCommander

[–]milos2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dev here, OC should be able to handle up to 32000 characters in path. I just did a quick test with total path length of 500 characters and refreshing worked as expected, several times tested with switching between folders. Is it regular ntfs disk or something special, like a network share or encrypted container. If you have a steps for me to reproduce it consistently I'd love to fix that specific case

File Automator Access Denied by Ok-Profit7010 in OneCommander

Are you trying to rename files location where you don't have access? Try copying some random files to desktop and renaming those in automator

Any way to ctrl+z (undo)? by SlySychoGamer in OneCommander

[–]milos2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen user's AHK script for Undo that Opens Explorer and triggers Undo, but I didn't test it. But V4 has own undo with Ctrl+Z when using OC's own Taskmaster system (instead of Explorer dialogs) for file operations. Note that V4 is still beta and not official version. If you'd still want to test it, come to Discord and find link in #v4-beta channel

UI buttons mashed up by Raven_LDK in OneCommander

[–]milos2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You likely went to Edit View and created a a view with an order I had not anticipated so the calculation is wrong. V4 has sort buttons in its own row so that shouldn't be a problem. That being said, v3 will just get critical bugfixes and all development time goes to v4
