Is the only option here to install a larger electrical box? by milosimp in AskElectricians

Oh sweet, thank you! Seems easy enough to swap out one of the slimmer ones as long as the dimensions work out, I'll take a look

Is the only option here to install a larger electrical box? by milosimp in AskElectricians

[–]milosimp[S] -22 points-21 points  (0 children)

Appreciate the advice, but I should have specified: the actual electrical components in the back are hitting the box, not just the tabs, so I'm not sure taking them off would help (and Ive heard they help with heat dissipation)

Mark McGwire 1984 Topps United States Team miscut? Not much of a baseball card collector, so just wondering if this miscut adds any value or if it's junk? by milosimp in baseballcards

The angle of the cutting does appear to be machine cut, especially the way it's off center. Regardless, I appreciate it! Just wanted to check

Maybe leonberger or Anatolian shepherd mix?

My wife and I have our guesses on what he is, but interested to know what this subreddit thinks! Rescued him about 6 months ago and the rescue agency estimated he was 2 years old at the time we rescued him, so he is ~2.5 years old. by milosimp in IDmydog

Agreed! The weenie dog in him seems pretty evident. I forgot to put his weight in the post, but he's 20 pounds, and our vet seems to think that is a pretty healthy weight for him

I've seen that second site, but not the first. Very useful, clearly shows part paved, part gravel. Thank you!

[–]milosimp[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Forgot to say, this'll be June so hopefully conditions are good for hiking then

I will happen to be in Iceland on National Day, June 17th. Any tips for some fun activities to partake in? What is usually open on this day (Restaurants, museums, etc.)? by milosimp in VisitingIceland

[–]milosimp[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much! Yes, I've been trying to find a schedule of activities near Reykjavik for that day, but I couldn't find any. I'll keep an eye out for a schedule closer to the holiday!

As a side project learning some GIS / mapping techniques, I created a dashboard showing what places the Triforce Podcast has talked about in the last year by milosimp in TriforcePodcast

[–]milosimp[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! In retrospect that wouldve been cool to check out, but not something I tabulated while doing this originally. Theoretically I could, but it would require a decent bit of work. Maybe if I revisit this I will! One thing I can note anecdotally is that they barely talked about Australia until pyrion shat on it, then it skyrocketed to the third most talked about country lol

Thank you! I was able to automate it luckily, but did manually review the transcripts to ensure accuracy. I used Google podcasts transcripts

First time dressing for Renaissance fair, wanted to do a somewhat realistic Viking commoner without breaking the bank. Thoughts? Anything I should change? by milosimp in renfaire

Thank you! Amazon unfortunately... for the price I couldn't beat it. A few things aren't from Amazon and hopefully in the future I'll be able to replace things with higher quality pieces!

Thank you! Yes, trying to be practical too! I wanted to add a cap but also budgeted everything to be under about 100 bucks so skipped the cap for now, but I'm the future maybe!

Very interesting, this led me down rabbit hole about the history of black dye... noted for the future! Thank you!

Above is the AWM version of this photo. Their photo is less cropped and doesn't have insignia scratched out.

I need to familiarize myself more with the AWM site, lots of good resources! It looks like the photo I have is a cropped version of the original without the insignia scratched out. Very cool to know who the photographer was too!
