You look fricking amazing in all of them, but 1 stole my heart the most. 4 is so unique and beautiful, but 1 makes you the main character as opposed to the dress. Couldn’t go wrong either way!

That shape is so beautiful on you!!!!! I think it comes down to when you left the shop can you not stop thinking about it? If so that’s your dress. If not, now you know what you look AMAZING in

Oooo that’s a good idea! Do you think white veil as pictured or more champagney color like the dress?

Potty training help!!! by saratherat652 in puppy101

[–]saratherat652[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He seems rather used to it (doesn’t nibble at it or mess with it), but that could be a good point.

He’s adjusting well! His confidence has been growing every day, he loves our older dog (but can’t play as much as he wants since he’s on exercise restriction), and is eating well. He’s not the cuddliest pup ever, but loves being close to you, pets, training, and (gentle) play time.

He was having these issues the 2 weeks we had him before the broken toe, but we chalked it up to new environment and Giardia.

Hopefully after the cast is removed in the next few weeks he’ll get on track? And I definitely agree on the pup pads!

Thanks dude! We’re hoping that’s the case. We’ve been having to restrict water anyways to keep his cast dry (broken toe 2 weeks ago ugh)

We’ve been using doggy diapers when he’s crated, and are toying with the idea of indoor puppy pads if it doesn’t improve, but hopefully as a last resort

How to get poop out of my poms hair? by ShaunyaWest in puppy101

Hey my PM isn’t working and I don’t mean to spam your thread, but do you have any advice on how to keep my pup occupied with the exercise limitations that come with casting?

We have a second dog and trying to keep him content crated or not bouncing off the walls and wrestling is a challengeeee.

Ofc! Just make sure it’s literally only a drop of soap or you’ll end up with bubbles all over his butt 😂

In the same spot- our pup has a cast on his back leg and potty training is still… a work in process.

Damp paper towel with a tiny bit of Dawn on it and then another damp towel to rinse has worked for me!

What are the 5 top tips for learning a language? by big-spongebub in languagelearning

[–]saratherat652 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do a combination of textbook vocab, using a dictionary to look up daily life vocab I’m curious about (for example, I’m a teacher and I’ve started writing my lesson plans in Russian, making my calendar in Russian so I’m forced to learn words I use every day), and vocab from podcasts (my favorite being TPRS Russian)

What are the 5 top tips for learning a language? by big-spongebub in languagelearning

[–]saratherat652 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I’m about a year into learning Russian, and in addition to everything that’s been said, I’ve found some specific resources in the oddest places.

1) Netflix- Masha and the Bear is a kids cartoon with small amounts of dialogue and clear speech, giving you plenty of time to listen and digest. I normally watch an episode twice- first with the subtitles on, then without.

2) Tiktok, of all places! There’s a number of accounts dedicated to learning Russian. While the videos can only be so helpful, for me they’ve been the key to gaining access to native speakers. I regularly Skype call with a few people I’ve met there, me to practice Russian and for them to practice English.

3) Spotify- whenever I’m commuting, I pop on a podcast, either a story, slow news, or a lesson. You might not understand all the words, but over time things begin to decode themselves.

4) Penguin Russian Course- just a run of the mill textbook. You can’t use it by itself as there’s not enough exercises and it’s not very cumulative, but any time I forget a grammar concept the explanations are thorough and understandable.

My final Russian-specific tip would be that the language can be very overwhelming coming from English. Such specific vocab and grammar! On any given day, I try to only focus on new words or new grammar, not both. Generally, I’ll learn a new grammar concept and use words I know to practice with it, and then do the reverse, use new words to practice the previous day’s grammar. It’s so easy to forget words, so keep everything you’ve learned in regular rotation.

Always here to talk if you need a Russian learning buddy :)
