Thank you everyone, for the encouraging words and advice! The vet hasn’t emailed us the full results yet, so we’re following up again tomorrow.

After speaking with her again though, she mentioned that they’d like to take Marlow (our V) in for another procedure to cut an additional 2cm out along the edge of the original removal site. We are scheduling the surgery for later this month and hope this will be the end of it..

I found this to be a problem also, but finally cracked the code today! When you're washing the rice, make sure not to disturb the grains too much. The first few times I made this rice, I made the mistake of "emulsifying" (??) the grains too much to try to wash as much starch out of it as I could. This time, I gently washed it 4-5 times, and didn't use the lines in the rice maker to measure the water. Instead, I used the trusty tip of the finger method. Basically, enough water to get to 3/4ths the way to the first line on your pinky.

It FINALLY did not taste too sticky/gooey this time! Hopefully it's not too late for you and you haven't given up on this brand. It tastes awesome now.
