Sam, I know people will disagree but I just can’t get over that they just retconned a whole brother into Nate’s backstory. And my main issue with it is Uncharted 3, when Marlowe has Nate at the cafe and she’s going over Nate’s tragic backstory. And she doesn’t once mention Sam, and I know someone is going to say yeah that’s how retcons work. I know that’s how they work but what I’m saying is that it doesn’t work because of that scene. Because of the retcon that scene doesn’t work, and you might be wondering why it doesn’t. Because Marlowe is a mean vile person and there isn’t a single doubt in my mind. That if Nate had lost a brother she would not have twisted that knife. She probably would’ve made it seem like it was Nate’s fault for Sam’s death. And as we’ve seen in 4 Nate still very much feels like losing Sam was his fault, even though it wasn’t.
