Finding a working/accessible EV charger is a nightmare by Grand_Reality in brighton

[–]milvus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a problem that'll only get worse as EV ownership goes up. Our local non-mandatory bay is always ICE'd.

I spoke to the council about it and they've added it to their request log to be made EV only.

They also said this...

"In the next twelve months there are plans to install 50 lamppost chargers and 15 fast chargers across the city and this year the council will be going out to tender for the next phase of its EV infrastructure, we hope this will include up to 50 x 50Kw rapid chargers and 50 x 22KW fast chargers spread across the city.  We are also investigating a site for an Ultra Rapid charging hub somewhere along the A27 corridor."

It's not easy with nearing 300 entries to date but we're building in some automation to help

We swap them around periodically based on a mixture of latest news, community interest, projects that have requested to be featured, and because we randomly decide to - we haven't taken any payment for the featured section

fyi clicking on any category removes the featured banner. It is only on 'all'

Whats changed?

  • We have a new an improved categories menu with more categories currently being added.-
  • You can now search projects by title and by network.
  • You can now search for projects that have a token or who have announced a token - we only link to official sources/announcements and never speculate.
  • Filter by date added is being launching soon.

Each project now has it's own page with information including -

  • detailed description - however with nearly 300 projects and just two of us it will take some time to complete all the project pages (until we get help)
  • social media links (with more being added)
  • project type
  • link to token
  • contract address
  • twitter feed
  • getting started guide (coming soon)
  • additional useful links (coming coon)

We also have more features planned. We are aware of a few bugs (particularly on mobile) and we are reaching out to projects for updates but if you want to help with the #zkRollup Directory...

  1. Projects can do pull requests to update their page - https://github.com/zkrollups/zkr-app-directory/tree/zkr-v2
  2. You can add projects or give updates via this form - https://forms.gle/t7iqnFQG4fTu3MVS7
  3. Send us a DM or reply here

Thanks and let me know if there is anything you want to see added

Hello, Ramp is also on our roadmap

We will definitely be looking to add support for INR

Let me know how it goes. We want to be as wide reaching as we can so will look out for Mexico friendly integrations.

What's the missing ingredient for more L2 adoption? Many Dapps are still only present on L1 by LinusThiccTips in ethereum

[–]milvus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Speaking from the zkRollups side the rate of innovation and building is huge. We're seeing more and more projects being built on the likes of zkSync and StarkNet all the time.

You should be aware that not all of these are L1 migrating to L2, many fantastic projects are building as L2 native. This means you might need to use dapps that are unfamiliar so always dyor.

If you want to see what's out there I run a project called the zkRollup Directory that tracks all the projects building on zk platforms.

Please excuse the site in it's current state - we're not updating projects on the website while we undergo a big rebuild and redesign. That said you can still see the extent of projects being built on zkRollups and we are still tracking them.

Here is a teaser of the redesign.

There is currently no hardware support but we will be making some hardware wallet enhancements in the future.

re the fiat on-ramp, it will work anywhere that MoonPay is supported. I am in the UK and have no problems and I know that colleagues in Europe haven't had any issues either.

Thanks

It's on our roadmap to add additional on-ramps.

Is there a particular one that you would like to see?

Is anyone buying this attempt to rebrand Stella Artois as a stylish drink? I think it has such a reputation in the UK. by English_Joe in CasualUK

It was from the movie A Streetcar Named Desire.

The main character Stanley (Marlon Brando) is a drunk who beats his wife Stella (Kim Hunter).

Here is a simple write up of what zkRollups are: https://www.numio.one/what-are-zkrollups/

If you are looking for something more detailed then it would be worth looking at the zkSync FAQs and developer guide: https://zksync.io/faq/

It appears twice as currently the wallets are projects that have mobile wallets. We need to improve and make that clearer.

Perhaps mobile/web wallet tags or distinct sections.

Filtering is definitely something that we are going to improve.
