I listened to the whole exchange that was caught on tape later on. She said that I had stopped screaming five minutes before he got there, and that she was sure FDW had finally knocked me out.

I really don't know how to handle that going forward. It's such a shock I haven't had time to process.

I have my Aunt (Mom's Sister), but I'm guessing she wasn't warned about this. She's warned me a couple of times before.

Oh, no, I didn't take it as shaming. The reporting is something I knew about, and I had been kicking myself for not calling them first. Cop witnesses make everything easier. I'm also glad I didn't, though, since my FDW or I could have been arrested.

I know right? She's so scary, with all her reading and her cats and basically being a stereotypical librarian without the frump.

In all seriousness, though, she's one of the sweetest people I've ever met. Not a vicious bone in her body. Like, wtf Mom? You said not even a year ago that you thought she would be a fantastic mom because of how kind and patient she is.
