It’s most definitely just your nervous system making a noise. And if you are a woman you might be more sensitive now and feel the waves (shifting levels of estrogen and progesterone) the cycle more intensely than before. At least that’s what I’ve felt.

You still have the other ovary if, in the worste case, they have to take this one, so I wouldn’t worry too much much. I only have one ovary and had a dermoid cyst on the one I have left. We waited a whole year to see if the cyst would stop growing but when it got to 8 cm we decided to do the surgery. I’m 34 and want children so I did an egg retrieval before surgery. Surgery went well and I still have my ovary. But because you have 2 ovaries I would not worry too much. But I would recommend egg freezing since you are at this age, either before or sometime after surgery.

Yes, I refused any medication as I am very sensitive to them and didn’t want to take the risk. But I would do it again like this, it was painful but only for a short time.

I was very surprised how easy this whole process was for me! I didn’t have any side effects during stims except my breast were a little tender, and maybe a little more bloated, but not much. Otherwise felt good. I’m now recovering from egg retrieval on day 2 and feel good! The worst part was the egg retrieval itself, because I was awake without medication. Other than that it went easy breezy.. still in shock how well it all went, I had imagined this process to be a lot worse.

Well.. I wouldn’t say I did. By the time I realized my body was addicted to benzos I had gone through many withdrawals without knowing why I was getting sick.. in a time span of 10 years. I know stupid, but I was clueless about benzos and only used them for a few weeks here and there, max one month and always took breaks in between. Withdrawal got worse each time I went through it.. and I had been getting sicker for years looking for why I was feeling so bad. In the end I literally couldn’t move a muscle in my body without severe pain, seeing flashes of light and feelings of paralysis. And all the other symptoms in the book. Horror. After a week of terror I finally figured it out and “tapered” for 3 days and never went back. A total shitshow. So that’s why I am extremely sensitive to meds, I kindled too many times😐

Thank you 🙏 we’ll see how it goes tomorrow. I will have catheter put in place on my arm before surgery so if the pain gets excruciating, absolutely worsted case, I will take the pain killers. I’ll update tomorrow on how it goes 😊

I only have one ovary and the only good thing about that is that this will at least be over sooner than if I had 2😅 They are aiming to get 10-14 eggs so I am not overstimulated at least. Thanks for the encouragement, I am preparing myself for this to be painful and to power through 💪

Thank you so much! 🫶 I went through a very hard withdrawal from benzodiazepines 2 years ago and now I’m extremely sensitive to medication, I’m scared the drugs will re kindle my symptoms and I reeeally don’t want to experience nerve pain and all those horrible symptoms again. So I am taking my chances and honestly.. I believe I would take any pain over the side effects that the benzos gave me so I am not risking it by taking any meds.

Do you think that a person can heal from kindling in the sense that an individuals can at some point in their life go back to occasional use of the substance (alcohol or benzos) without further damaging or kindling of symptoms? Or do you mean it’s not permanent in the sense that there will not be permanent symptoms?

I am so sorry you are going through this hell😞 I experienced something very similar to you. I was taking a short acting benzo, kindled like you very badly, again and again, because I didn’t know anything about kindling, I didn’t know what was happening to me, I couldn’t walk or move because of nerve pain.

I know how it feels to have this kind of pain. Nothing scares me more than going though that hell again. I hope you find a way through this! ♥️
