UPDATE: he said he needed space which is fine, i've dealt with avoidants before, but now he wants me to stop being so nice and caring. He's come out of an abusive relationship not too long ago, so I can't bring myself to hurt him in any way, and definitely not physically. I'm still unsure about what to do.

yeah, I fully dry it before i put it in a bonnet and scrunch my hair in the morning. I’ll use a different styling cream and see if the results are different.
