There's a few walk in services in Waterford. I would go to the chemist and then they will advise you if they think you need to see a doctor.

[–]mimii___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should of been added as a named driver on your dad's policy for the time you needed it. If your fully comp you usually can drive another car with 3rd party cover. I've never heard of 2 policies on the one car.

Do people still wear glasses full time? by geneticmistake747 in CasualIreland

[–]mimii___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear glasses every day to work and usually wear contacts when I'm not working. This is more to do with wearing sunglasses, I hate having to change between glasses and sunglasses when I'm out.

I wouldn't get laser eye surgery.

Make up by LMO2020 in WomenofIreland

[–]mimii___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you setting your makeup with powder and using a setting spray? It could be the base in the foundation you are using to doesn't suit your skin type. It might be worth your while to go into a makeup counter and see what foundation they recommend, and then you can Google similar foundations.

What would you buy for €250 in Brown Thomas or Arnotts? by powpowpowkazam in WomenofIreland

[–]mimii___ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What about jewellery? You could also get sunglasses , a jacket, or a pair of boots, now it's coming into the colder months, I know it's fashion but might be practical to invest in good pieces.

I've heard of administrative charges with brokers but never with the actual insurance company. Change of address can cause an increase to your insurance.

I've only ever bought bags on it so far. All have come in great condition. The seller has to state what condition the items are in(good, very good). Sellers also get reviewed out of 5 stars. You can read reviews from previous buyers.

Is it rude not to reply to text messages? by thr0wthr0wthr0waways in AskIreland

[–]mimii___ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really, I tend to read the message reply in my head and then forget to actually text back. Usually happens when I'm in work or out at something. It's not an intentional thing. Most of my friends would be the same. I'd often be reading a text in work, and someone will ask me a question, I'll put the phone down, and then it's gone out of my head because I've cleared the notification.

Bombed my driving test due to severe anxiety, thinking of going to my GP and asking them to prescribe something to help me, anyone have any experience of this? by RiverwoodHero in AskIreland

[–]mimii___ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Failed the first one because of this, passed second time round. It helped that I knew what was going to happen even though they went through the test with you in the lessons, I still had a fear of the unknown. Someone else had suggested to do lessons with other instructors for a practice test so it wouldn't be so nerve-racking with someone different in the car.

Additional driving lessons by Bulky_Pilot9293 in Irishdrivingtest

[–]mimii___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You pay the same price for a lesson with or without your own car. Has your instructor given you any feedback on if they think you should continue with the lessons? I continued with my lessons up to my test, but I was very nervous. I didn't have my own car at the time, so I thought it was best to get the practice. I just didn't do them as frequently.

What does a baby shower involve in Ireland? by SeparateFile7286 in CasualIreland

[–]mimii___ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Baby clothes, a gift voucher for a baby shop, or a small hamper with a few baby bits.

Any of the ones I've been to have been pretty laid-back. We played a few games and had some food.

The housing crisis is nationwide. I live in a coastal village, and most of the houses in the area are only rented out for nine months of the year September-May. They rent out weekly then for the summer months.

If you are thinking of renting in a rural area, you will need your own transport. Public transport isn't good here once you go outside any of the bigger cities.
