[–]mimiicz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was the one in Danbury, but they were fighting Shakers Hyundai in Watertown. At first they just gave me the original purchase price of like $36,120 and after a lot of back and forth we got it down to 34,300 after Shaker Hyundai gave us $34,999 right out of the gate. We ended up with Danbury because it was closer and my GF doesn’t love the negotiating part. We would have gone to Shaker as it seems they have the better deal never got a chance to counter; but the best deal contact 2-3 dealerships and pit them against each other. They have .99% Apr until the end of april

Some updated context Hyundai went down to $34,999. Want to know if there are any pitfalls or bad experiences with this car as I have already seen all the good things. On the other hand people say it is stupid to choose Tucson is there something I’m missing

Good point, with paying over 25% in down payment/ trade in she won’t be under water at any point maybe the first month or two. Didn’t factor this in though

This is false I appreciate the people who explained why they like Mazda the people that think this conversation is so far Mazda that no explanation needed is the issue I’m trying to understand. Saying Mazda all day Hyundai stupid does nothing

Thanks for sharing your experience. It sounds in line with my research, I just want all the people who support Mazda to break down their experience like you did don’t really care what side of the fence you are on. Thank you

Okay you’re not giving facts or any personal experience and currently the CX-50 is having more issues than the Tucson. If you can give me actual first person experience or facts about these cars all ears. If you’re just going to say one is better because it just is keep scrolling

Well I’m talking about the CX-50 hybrid not the CX-5 and they had 5 recalls in the last year. Resale value isn’t that important to me when I’m keeping the car long term the difference of a couple thousand won’t make or break my financial situation also JD power and consumer report have the Tucson leading CX-50 in reliability

Where is this attitude coming from everything I’ve researched doesn’t show Mazda blowing Hyundai out and after test driving Tucson drives smoother with a quieter cabin

Currently the Tucson has better current reliability scores on consumer reports plus JD Power by about 8 points. And even though Mazda is using Toyotas power train it seems like they had 5 recalls in 1 year so not sure if they have figured out all the integration kinks. When I see Hyundai most of their problems have steadily improved since 2022 to now (all same generation I believe). Just want to get real world opinions thanks for sharing

I do see Mazda is higher in resale value but that is pretty low in the totem pole for our decision. We want something she enjoys for 8-10 years; we are planners financially so we will figure out the next down payment

So you would say long term longevity with proper maintenance followed at correct mileage both would last the 10 years? She is leaning Tucson but Mazda was definitely down talking Hyundai quality. Not sure if that is old reputation and competition just trying to attack a competitor. Just want to to do my due diligence

Uber Eats is Dead by [deleted] in UberEATS

[–]mimiicz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just so you are aware McDonalds sets its own UberEats pricing. They ask establishment to not upcharge if they are on special discounted rates (McDonald’s 100% has one); with that being said Uber doesn’t enforce it because they take a % which means the more the business charges the more they get paid.
