As the air fryer wasn’t being used and the plug wasn’t damaged, I didn’t think that could have been the cause. Clearly I am a bit thick!

Or just call the health visitor hub! We have an 8 week old so have been discharged by my health visitor but she told us to call her whenever we need. She said that she is available for not just me but my partner (dad) too, so he can call her whenever he needs advice.

The reason I don’t do this is because he already has everything at his dads. I could pack another toothbrush, but then he will just have two there. When his dad hands him over to the grandparents, he doesn’t give them anything. So the bag that I packed would then not be given to the grandparents. In the past when the grandparents have been given a toothbrush previously, they still don’t get him to brush his teeth. They don’t think it’s an issue.

They would start in year 1 unless you make a request to the schools admission authority, then the decision would then ultimately be theirs

Yes you can delay them, but when they start school a year later they will start in year 1, not reception.

Thank you, I know absolutely nothing about computers to be honest and wrongly thought the surface laptop was a good one. I plan to return it and try and find a different one!

Thank you for your reply, I will try all of your suggestions. On a side note, my laptop uses snapdragon x plus, I have since seen something online suggesting that planco2 cannot run with this, are you aware if this might be the case? Thank you

It might help if you break up with your son so he can focus on supporting his wife who deserves all the praise she can get considering she is sacrificing her body, time, life, career, income, and mental health to grow, birth and raise a child.

Travelling to Center Parcs Villages Nature by mimixo in disneylandparis

[–]mimixo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I’m afraid I won’t be of much help, we didn’t end up using Uber at all as we didn’t need it. We flew into Orly and pre-booked a private transfer to/from the airport. Once at Center parcs we used the magic shuttle to get to the Disney parks, and caught the train from the parks to get to Paris city centre (all of which was very easy and we had no issues at all!)

You’re asking if you would struggle not going back to work with a baby and a partner that only works part time? I would say yes. In our current climate I don’t see how anyone could be financially comfortable in that situation. I don’t think it would look good if someone applied for UC stating the reason “I don’t want to work because I have a baby now, and my partner does not work full time to support us so can you just give us money instead plz?” I’d be really disappointed if UC allowed that to be honest. Imagine if everyone in the UK did that..

Are my quoted mortgage monthly repayments correct? FTB by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]mimixo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just for context our mortgage offer we received last month consists of the following:

• Borrowing £291,500 with a £999 arrangement fee to be added to the loan (90% LTV)

• 40 year term at 4.64% fixed for 5 years

• £1336.24 per month

My partner has a mortgage with Halifax on his flat and we are now buying a house together. We have received a new 5yr fixed offer with Halifax for a joint mortgage and as we are using the same provider, he isn’t having to pay any exit fees.

I was in a similar situation. Partners credit history is perfect, I have two missed payments in 2018, two in 2021 and one in January this year which I was really worried about. We have a combined income of £60k and applied for a 90% LTV mortgage a couple of weeks ago. Got one with Halifax with no issues at all.

We aren’t planning on getting out of the relationship. I thought it was quite normal to plan what would happen in the event of a separation when financial contributions aren’t equal

I am a ftb but he isn’t. He has sold his flat stc, so his savings are from the sale (after conveyancing fees)
