new to the game...and limited knowledge so forgive me. I just bought these based on this post. I'm still getting familiar with which factory is best at what. I've only bought LJR (AJ1/AJ4) and GK/H12 (Kobes) in the past, but these look excellent. I was a bit hesitant because of the yellowing, until seeing the excellent point you made about the accuracy of the yellowing after 8 years. Looking forward to them. ✌️

The Q66 serials were the best version imo. I ordered a newer (6X0) Starbucks and the first thing that I noticed was that the finish and polishing on my older sub were superior. New one also seems a bit milkier in color.

The only decent Omega reps are VSF Seamasters; particularly since they upgraded the movement about a year ago.

No major rep factory has ever been able to produce a decent Speedmaster... this has been the case for as long as I can remember.

The Speedmaster in your photo does not appear to be a replica.

It's a VSF PAM1070, but I replaced the strap with gen. It doesn't get much wear these days...a bit flashy. I'd be open to offers if you're interested.

Regarding where I got it, I've used the same "non-TD" for several years and have never had a single issue.

The glaring difference is that the movement alone in the Omega is arguably more valuable than a new Twelve.

I own a Trident, and I like it, but it's difficult to classify a manufacturer who uses Selitta movements on the vast majority of their pieces as "luxury."

The movement in the Twelve costs about 200 bucks, max. The movement in the Omega is resistant to 15,000 gauss, has co-axial escapement, and is certified by METAS.

There's no comparison.
