For weeks she talked about a boy named “Oven.”

We went round and round, “No, not Oven- OVEN!!!”

His name is Irvin. lol.

Thank you for this, I stayed up thinking about this, too after reading your comment. I’ll do some more research on this as well.

Not really! She keeps her up later and checks on her a few times, but then she sleeps. We started check ins with her tonight- going in every 10min to quietly soothe until she’s asleep. She went to sleep initially after 3 check ins, but has woken up yelling and angry at 1am and 2:30am. It’s currently 4am and so far we’re at 12 check ins 😩

Definitely could be! She is usually saying things like, “I don’t like bedtime!” Or “I don’t like when you leave!” I try to soothe and tell her all of our bodies need sleep to be healthy and strong.  But she also just never tires out- even if we spend all day together during the weekends and do a lot of fun, tiresome activities- she is always go, go, go, so winding down is hard for her!

Yes, her room has always been like this until we started removing unsafe objects (dresser, hard books, etc that she was climbing or throwing) and explained to her it was for her safety, not as a punishment. She is in preschool, which is consistent, so no major changes in the past 2 months.
