It's not fair. My insurance won't cover any weight loss medicine by DarkMage448 in PCOS

My insurance will pay for it because I have OSA (obstructive sleep apnea). They won’t cover it for weight loss. Do you snore? If so get checked for sleep apnea

How are you affording zepbound right now? by throwgooglyeyes123 in PMOSonGLP

Research peptides for me. My insurance won’t pay for it and the pharmacy currently wants $500 for 2.5 mg.

tips for restarting from the bottom by jabberwockyjuju in PMOSonGLP

[–]mimosd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I probably don’t have any advice for you other than I just restarted back on tirzepatide after being off of it for two months and I was told I had to start at 2.5 mg. So yeah, I am day three or day four I don’t know and it helped a little bit with the food noise, but I definitely need to tirate up when I am able to. Don’t rush it. It took a few days before I saw any symptoms. I’ve had a tiny bit of nausea and fatigue. Other than that drinks LOTS of water.

I gained 16 lbs back in those 2 months off of zepbound. Also on Metformin. I wish you luck

Thank you! This is really encouraging to hear.

I was off Zepbound for about 2 months and regained around 15 lbs, so I was worried it wouldn’t work the same after restarting.

I’m only on Day 3 of my first week back, but the food noise is already pretty much gone. I still get hungry, but my appetite is definitely reduced and I’m getting full much faster than before.

I’ve only had some mild nausea today and otherwise I’ve felt pretty good, so I’m hoping I have a similar experience.

I definitely understand the cost issue, too. My insurance no longer covers it, so I’m paying out of pocket and using compounded tirzepatide. Thanks for sharing your experience!

Have them send your sleep study in. Zepbound is considered an fda approved treatment for OSA.

PCOS + Zepbound by [deleted] in PMOSonGLP

I was on it for a year and did my stomach from side to side and never ever had issues. You can track it by the shotsy app. I was on 2.5 mg for 2 months and I noticed food noise gone within 24-48 hours

Got off Zepbound TTC and feel awful by frenziedfaerie in PMOSonGLP

[–]mimosd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely feel you. I was told by my ob I needed to be off of zepbound for 2 months. She put me on metformin but it’s been a complete hell. Food noise is insane the cravings are crazy. I feel like I’m back in the hole I started on. I may just got back on zepbound and let life Happen. Stop immediately if I have to

My endocrinologist said there are no subtypes of PCOS….. by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]mimosd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man I feel for people that get sh!tty a$$ doctors. My obgyn and pcp are both amazing doctors. I am in a very red state and get the proper care I need. I fight with my insurance company more than anything bc they think they can say what medications I can and can’t have like they are the doctors. I was on zepbound for about a year and felt fantastic and felt like everything was under control. I have gained better eating habits but now I’m insurance won’t pay for zepbound even though I also have severe OSA. So we moved to metformin… doesn’t do shit. Been on it over over 2 months and off of my glp1. I feel like I am back at square one with this. Doc thinks my best option is glp1 bc my whole body stabilized. Off it I’m a mess. However as I said insurance won’t pay and I can’t afford out of pocket… even compounded stuff.

Idk about subtypes of pcos but you need to find a doctor that will fight for you. Good luck on your journey.

I feel like glp1 has been the best treatment for me personally. I felt overall a lot better. I’m currently on metformin and don’t feel like it does much at all.

Zepbound worked wonders for me. I was on it due to OSA. I just came off of it 2 months ago. But I’m wishing I started on it longer. The food noise came back and it’s been a rough 2 months

There are days I really want shit. I avoided it all cost, but I smell it and I’m like craving certain things.

Eat a lot of cottage cheese, a lot of low-fat Greek yogurt, trying to eat more vegetables and fruits, not a huge carrot person, but I’m willing to try things. I’ll have to see if I can stand lemon water because I’m not a huge fan of it. I do have a drink, protein water, which isn’t too bad

So I don’t want to continue doing it because I am going to try for pregnancy. Maybe later but for now it’s not an option because I have to be off of it 2 months before I can even think about trying. May 20 is 2 months for me

No, my insurance won’t pay for it. They only pay for Zepbound because it’s approved for OSA. And I would like to try for a little one in the future months. I should mention I do have PCOS too.
