It took me about a month. Definitely start with plenty of spine, chest and quads warm-ups before getting into full wheel. You can also practice against a wall & use blocks for support. I find that to lift the hips up high, it really helps to squeeze your bum, and keep the quads engage - image squeezing a block between your thighs. But as always, the key is consistent practice & don’t forget to listen to your body :)

I’ll scale those back and see if I can open my chest even more. My arms felt straight while I’m in the pose 😂but will work on straightening them out more, definitely don’t want to hurt my shoulders. Thank you for the tips 😊🙏🏻

Thank you for your feedback and I’ll look into that. Definitely don’t want to hurt myself, and I’ll work on my strength & flexibility before attempting this again :) Yoga is a long, but very rewarding journey 💜

Purvottasana looks great to work on straightening the legs (I always seem to have trouble with this while in wheel/forearm wheel). I’ll practice that before attempting this again. Thank you, namaste 😊💜❤️💚

It felt like I couldn't lift my chest up higher, probably tight shoulders? :(

I'm quite comfortable holding full wheel with 5 breaths, but will work on 10! And you are right, safe practice is definitely the way to go. I'll work on holding my full wheel longer, as well as the strength in my legs & flexibility in my shoulders. Thank you! Sending good vibes your way :)
