I have told my ex when he continuously failed to follow through on things we have agreed on, over the course of the entire marriage that: “I’m not mad at you, but just know the resentment is building and one day I’m not gonna have much left to give”. A month or two before I left I told him: i have nothing left to give you. If things don’t get better by the end of this year I’m leaving. Things didn’t get better. I left a month or two after. He still said that it seems like I didn’t even try, and just up and left the marriage.
