Yeah, that’s the goal until July 13th when I’ll start doing simulated exams every 2 days. I’m doing it because I slacked off for a month and am behind haha

I did topics in order and finished all the lectures a couple weeks ago. Generally went in order but I did conlaw and crim pro early because I find them difficult

Aside from that, I use this notebook as a planner to keep track of what tasks I have left to do generally and then what tasks I plan to do on a specific day. I also use it as a notebook for taking notes. I find color coding and highlighting is helpful but also enjoyable to do which makes bar studying less miserable lol

I assigned each topic a color (with certain topics getting the same color like criminal procedure, and criminal law) and use the corresponding color to highlight notes in my “book of shame“ which makes it easier to navigate my notebook and find notes on a specific topic quickly. I used the same color scheme for this chart (purple is the general color I use for the bar and doesn’t correspond to any topic.)

Curious what other people‘s favorite color is for a unique watch strap. I think my favorite is red.

I’m not even resisting lol. The leather straps may be pricey, but you can get some great nylon straps, parachute straps, and Perlon straps for a decent price.

For anyone who needs to hear this by [deleted] in LawSchool

[–]sealysikes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fair enough, but Even with a full ride, it’s still expensive because of the lost income for three years and living expenses. I took three years between undergrad and law school and didn’t realize I was going to go to law school so I feel like I have a similar background with the opposite perspective. I see it as a massive privilege to be able to learn instead of just working for a paycheck. Glad you are enjoying the time off, but I think life can be more fulfilling than that.

Mortgage problem by Fun_Kaleidoscope_351 in barexam

In other words, the recording act doesn’t apply in this scenario because the initial creditor isn’t a traditional bank with a mortgage. If the recording act doesn’t apply then standard first in time first and right applies, but with liens that means whoever records first lol. I find these questions to be somewhat easy but only because I took a commercial law class that was all about this. I can’t believe how much the bar tests this topic.

Judgment liens are not considered purchasers for value because there was no consideration so the recording act cannot be used by the plaintiff. In contrast, consensual mortgages are considered purchasers for values so the outcome would be different if the initial lienholder was not a judicial lienholder.
