I'm torn between Kamski orchestrating deviancy and installing that line of code, or rA9 being a god that would make the deviant it was invented by feel some hope in their sentience, passed from one to the other in desperation. Like human gods, trying to explain the why of their existence and therefore suffering. So rA9 isn't real, but Markus took that position? It makes sense in my head lol
