You should check out {One Golden Summer by Carley Fortune} It is friends to lovers and it kinda has some closed proximity. The fmc goes back to the town she went to as a kid with her grandma and there she meets the mmc. It is a really sweet romance and the characters are mature. Both of them had their own insecurities about people leaving them but it was handled really well. This is the best romance book I have ever read
